Located in
Berea, Kentucky, the city recognized worldwide as our states’ Craft’s
capitol, Top Drawer Gallery houses one of the very finest and most unique
assortments of hand- crafted collectibles and functional items to be found
for sale under one roof in the Appalachian Mountains. As a
business, Top Drawer Gallery is relatively young but already we are
enjoying a well-earned reputation for being synonymous with top quality.
Simply put, there are no finer
examples of the hundreds of items we have to offer.

Top Drawer
Gallery was Founded in 2003 by eastern Kentucky native Terry D.
Fields who has been a respected leader in the regional crafts industry
for more than thirty years and is, himself, a well-known and highly
regarded wood craftsman. Over the
years Terry has developed
friendships and business relationships with
hundreds of the best folk artists and craftspeople throughout the region and
across the nation. Dozens of them have discovered that Top Drawer Gallery
is the ideal venue to merchandise their products. Top Drawer Gallery
selects the best they have to offer. |

While more
than 80 percent of our collection is produced by Kentucky artists and crafts
makers, Top Drawer Gallery also represents a few out-of-state makers of
Appalachian-influenced products so unique and of such high quality that we
would be remiss not to offer them.
In general
terms the gallery collection contains a diverse range of hardwood products
and furniture, ceramics, glassware, jewelry, decorative folk art,
photography/etchings, and hundreds of collectible gift items. Most of these
are one-of-a kind.
Wood products are
selected for both the quality of craftsmanship and the quality of the
wood itself. Almost all our wood products are crafted from the
highest grades of native black walnut, cherry and maple lumber to
be found in the Appalachian Region. |

Wood-Top Drawer
offers a range of top-quality, solid-hardwood, traditional Appalachian,
Shaker, and early American furniture. Product lines include dining tables
and chair sets, rocking chairs, settees, desk and other office furnishings,
stand-alone cabinetry and shelving, hickory and seagrass bottomed chairs and
benches.
If we don't have what you are looking for, we can make arrangements with
highly reputable craftsmen and have it custom built for you. We can usually
give you a quotation from a rough sketch or picture.
The Gallery offers a wide range
of solid hardwood kitchen items including cutting boards, lazy-susans, wine
racks, rolling pins, etc.
We also have a variety of
quality wood containers suitable for jewelry, small collectibles, desktop
utility, etc. Besides being functional, these pieces are unique and
decorative works of art. We offer hand carved chess sets, traditional wood
toys and other games.
Glass: Top drawer Gallery
selects a variety of decorative and functional pieces including collectible
trinkets, vases and fine dinnerware. We also offer a large collection of
high-strength, durable fused glassware. Fusion glass dates back 4000 years
to the Phoenician Empire. The process involves heating, melting and shaping
glass at extremely high temperatures. As with ceramics, no two pieces are
ever exactly the same but every piece is a creation of unique strength and
beauty.
